Gaillardia's 18-hole, links-like golf course reflects the vision of golfing great Tom Kite who, along with his design team at Kite Bechtol Russell Golf, has captured the essence of quality and a challenging playability not found in this region of the country. Over 240 acres of land occupying the highest elevations in Oklahoma City are dedicated to the course, a far greater expanse than is usual. This abundance allows for expansive spaces between fairways, and appropriate relationships to the manored residential areas, which complement the total design. Working with the gently rolling land, Mr. Kite and his team redesigned and brought into play the established native areas outside the fairways containing medium to tall grasses and a variety of trees indigenous to the region. The lakes, streams, water features and impressive waterfalls not only surround play, but also provide a natural ambiance for each enjoyable round.
